Position Overview:
We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator for our skilled nursing facility, responsible for facilitating the admissions process. This on-site role involves verifying room readiness, reviewing referrals, coordinating insurance authorizations, and engaging in social work duties with existing residents. The ideal candidate will contribute to the seamless operation of admissions and support the overall care process in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the admissions process, ensuring rooms are prepared and suitable for new residents.
- Act as a point of contact for patients and families during admissions, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to confirm room availability and readiness.
- Review referrals and manage insurance authorizations to streamline resident admissions.
- Assist with social work tasks, aiding in the ongoing support and care of current residents.
- Maintain relationships with referral sources to ensure a consistent admission flow.
- Adhere to healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining accurate and compliant admission records.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the admissions process efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an admissions coordination role within a skilled nursing facility.
- Capable of working independently, managing detailed tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare partners.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of the admissions process.
